This course introduces the Link Layer (Data Link Layer), the second layer of the OSI model, and its essential services in computer networks. Students will learn how data is framed, addressed, transmitted, and protected from errors during communication between directly connected devices. The course covers framing, MAC addressing, error detection and correction, flow control, access control, and link-layer protocols such as Ethernet and Wi-Fi. Through practical examples and network scenarios, learners will gain a strong understanding of how reliable node-to-node communication is achieved
