Course Description

This course introduces the concept of Moore’s Law and its impact on the evolution of VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) technology. Students will learn how transistor scaling has transformed semiconductor devices, integrated circuits, and modern computing systems. The course covers CMOS scaling, fabrication technology, chip performance improvement, power consumption challenges, and future trends beyond Moore’s Law.
